Sound Healing
Sound has been used in various cultures around the world for thousands of years as a tool for healing.
Bathe in sound
Sound therapy is an ancient therapeutic technique that uses tonal frequencies to balance and harmonize the body’s vibrations. It is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience where sound is intentionally used to invite a powerful therapeutic and restorative practice to nurture your mind and body.
A sound healing session is simply listening as a practitioner plays various instruments while you “bathe” in the soothing sounds and vibrations. The sound frequencies then induce a deeply restorative state in the brain, activating the body’s self-healing system.
Sound healing is an effective and natural way to heal the body, mind, and spirit. It can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions, both physical and mental. If you are looking for an alternative therapy to help you relax, reduce stress, or improve your overall health, sound healing may be right for you.
Once I experienced the power of sound therapy I knew I needed to share it!
I experienced my first sound bath in December 2022 while looking for ways to heal my mind and body. WOW, I walked out of that appointment feeling rejuvenated in a way I never expected. I continued trying different sound baths and decided this was something I needed to share.
I am now a certified sound therapist and I will include sound therapy with all of my coaching clients as an introduction to this as a self-care option. In addition, I will also offer some individual and group sound baths (your location or mine and local venues) in the Washington DC area.
My sound baths include a variety of instruments from all over the world. I’ve designed my sessions to be a relaxing journey that takes your mind on a beautiful adventure. If this is an experience you want to try - reach out to me to discuss the details. Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter to get updates on any upcoming events or insider specials!
“If we accept that sound is a vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies.”
